Wayanad Adventure Camp

Kuruva Island

One can also enjoy various activities like trekking, camping, and mountain biking and nature walks.
Edakkal Caves
Edakkal Caves are among the oldest human settlements ever discovered. Inside the caves are pictorial drawings and engravings that indicate the presence of ancient human settlements in the region. The name Edakkal itself means “a stone in between”. Ever since their discovery in 1895, the caves have been a source of awe and wonder for tourists and historians alike.
Best time to Visit
The best season or time to visit Wayanad is from October to May. This is a good time for sightseeing, wildlife tours, trekking and other outdoor activities. The rainy season that lasts from June to September is a great time for nature lovers as Wayanad covers itself with greenery. Summers from March to May are hot yet lovely with the cool wind from the close-by timberland zone. The highest temperature comes up to 36 °C.

By Air - The Karipur international Airport at Kozhikode is the only airport in Wayanad. The airport has access to international as well as domestic flights. Tourists from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai can easily reach Wayanad.
By Rail – The nearest railway station to Wayanad is the Kozhikode Railway Station. Well connected train services are offered to Trivandrum, Kochi, Chennai and Bangaluru.
By Road – Wayanad has a good network of KSRTC buses to the nearby cities. There are super fast buses running between Wayanad and Bangaluru, Trivandrum, Mangalore and Kochi.
